ARN
"Arn" is the biggest film made in the whole of the Nordic region, with a budget of around 210 millions SEK. Actually, two films were made, back to back. The first, "The Knight Templar", is to be released in late 2007, the second in 2008.
Based on the popular "Knight Templar" trilogy by Jan Guillou, the films tells the story of a young knight templar as he experiences the first crusade, and later brings back samples of the more sophisticated arab culture to his native Sweden, helping to shape his rustic homeland into a nation proper.
I take on the whole Lithuanian cavalry single handed - On film, anyone can be a hero
I was asked to join the stunt team by fight choreographer (and long time pal) Peppe Ôstensson. Peppe gathered a group of the top theatre and film fighters in the region for this film. In addition, stunt coordinator Kimmo Rajala brought in more stunt men from his circuit, and an additional team of stunt riders from Lithuania were hired for the many horse stunts that the script called for. With around 30 professionals, this production had easily the largest group of stunt people for any film ever made in Scandinavia.
