CIRCUS

I work as head of the circus school at KULTA Culture Centre, Tromsø. Here, more than a 100 children and youth train in circus skills every week.

KULTA combines the circus with theatre, music, dance, visual arts, film, sports and other disciplines, which again creates new expressions. We have a lot of experience with the combinations circus + young people, and circus + theatre. Our motto is:
Anyone can do circus.

KULTAs network of circus performers and instructors is a wonderful resource bank for finding the right people for shows as well as teaching assignments. Some come from experimental and contemporary circus productions, some from relevant competitive sports like gymnastics, and others have a background in physical theatre. Some are earlier students.

In short, I can put together teams for specific performances and workshops on quite short notice.

I offer:
* Performances for events, ceremonies, happenings.
* Direction of circus shows, traditional and contemporary.
* Workshops in circus skills.
* Circus training for actors for a specific production.
* Help in finding the right artists or instructors for your project.
* Advice on how to get started with your own circus group or club.

The most usual themes and subjects for circus workshops:
* Juggling
* Acrobatics
* Aerial tissue
* Trapeze
* Stick manipulation and drilling
